Cohesion policy is the EU’s main investment policy, providing funding equivalent to 8.5% of government capital investment in the EU, a figure which rises to 41% for the EU 13 and to over 50% for a number of countries.
This figure compares the allocations of Cohesion Policy per Member State (available on this open data platform) to public investment (Gross fixed capital formation by general government). This is usually referred as total public investment.
