This lookup table provides lists of the NUTS3 regions that are classed by DG REGIO with specific geographic characteristics as follows:
- Mountain regions: NUTS 3 regions having at least 50% of population and/or at least 50% of area in mountain areas;
- Island regions: NUTS 3 regions entirely composed of islands, or being part of islands;
- Sparsely populated regions: NUTS 3 regions having a population density below 12.5 inhabitants/km²;
- RUPS or Outermost territories - specifically recognised in Article 349 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

This is a historic dataset on EU budget amounts requested by Member States in their declarations of expenditure for the 2007-2013 EAFRD programming period. It provides the data per Declaration year, Quarter, Axis and Measure.
This is the final version of the dataset, considering that all the programmes for the 2007-2013 programming period are now closed.

More than three in four EU citizens, 78%, see a positive impact of EU regional investments in their city or region (up 3 percentage points (pp) from 2015). This is one of the key findings of regional policy Eurobarometer 452, which was published today. Citizens' generally positive opinion about Regional policy is also reflected in their view that it should continue investing in all EU regions: 53% of Europeans expressed this opinion. This dataset compares awareness, positive perception and the EU funding per capita in each EU Country.

WHAT IS EUSF? The European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF) was set up to respond to major natural disasters and express European solidarity to disaster-stricken regions within Europe. The Fund was created as a reaction to the severe floods in Central Europe in the summer of 2002. Since then, it has been used for disasters covering a range of different catastrophic events including floods, forest fires, earthquakes, storms and drought.
The dataset presents financial and other information on the applications submitted for EUSF support between 002 and 2020.
