Internal Security Fund (ISF)
The Internal Security Fund (ISF) aims to contribute to reaching a high level of security in the EU, in particular by preventing and combating terrorism, radicalisation, serious and organised crime and cybercrime, by assisting and protecting victims of crime, and by preparing for, protecting against and effectively managing security-related incidents, risks and crises.
The ISF is set up for the period 2021-27, with an EU allocation of EUR 1.93 billion. The Member States programmes account for a large share of these resources, as a result of their initial allocations and top-ups from the Thematic Facility, which is a flexibility instrument under the Home Affairs Funds. Learn more about the ISF and its implementation modes on this webpage.
