Just Transition Fund (JTF)
The JTF is a new funding instrument for 2021-2027 with an EU budget of EUR 19.7 billion available to Member States. It supports the territories most affected by the transition towards climate neutrality. In particular, it will help regions dependent on solid fossil fuels (such as coal, peat and oil shale) and on carbon-intensive industries (such as steel, cement or chemicals) to cushion the socio-economic impacts of their transformation. Learn more about the JTF on this webpage.
In the folders below, the charts present information on investment plans, EU payments made and achievement targets from adopted programmes. The thematic EU allocations under the JTF in adopted programmes can be further explored in this datastory. The initial EU allocations to the JTF (before any transfer of resources) are set out in this datastory.
